IdyllLodge is a grand mountain retreat that offers a rare blend of rustic charm and modern luxury. Situated on 1.5 private acres, the property features a brand-new Yoga Deck overlooking Strawberry Creek, a private Sundance hot tub, and soaring ceilings that frame the surrounding forest. Whether you’re here for a wellness retreat or a family getaway, you’ll find total seclusion just steps from the heart of town.
Living Room & River-Rock Fireplace
As a premier Idyllwild retreat, the living area is designed for both connection and quiet contemplation. Coming through the front entry, you will be greeted by soaring vaulted ceilings in the living room. Our beautiful river-rock fireplace stands tall and proud, drawing the eye upwards to the skylights and tall windows that surround it. Opposite the fireplace is the state-of-the-art kitchen, and in the middle, our 10ft Restoration Hardware sofa entices you to kick your feet up and relax while watching the fireplace roar or catching glimpses of the forest views from every angle.

Cooking for a group is easy in this Idyllwild retreat. We have everything you need to cook a world-class meal: A commercial-size fridge and freezer, gas range and oven, Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, dishwasher, trash compacter, and ample countertop space. In addition, the kitchen is stocked with oils, an array of spices, and all sorts of cooking utensils that make for easy cooking and clean-up.
The chef in the group can go to work while the others visit and watch on from the bartop that connects to the kitchen counter. Off the kitchen, is the formal dining room. A solid Oak, round dining table with service for six stands in the middle of the dining room that is framed by three walls of picture windows.

Down the hall from the kitchen is the laundry room with a washer and dryer, and a door to access the two-car covered carport. Past the laundry room lives a half-bath to the right and the master bedroom to the left.

✤ The master has a TempurPedic Cal-King bed and massive en-suite with triple vanity, whirlpool bathtub, and tiled shower. Adjacent to the bed is a sliding glass door with forest views and access to the back deck.
✤ Upstairs resides the family room and two remaining bedrooms.
✤ Each upstairs bedroom has its own en-suite, King bed, and picture window overlooking Strawberry Creek that runs along the back edge of the property.

The family room upstairs holds a large sectional and massive 75 inch flat-screen TV for movie night as well as board games and a shuffle-board table for game night. In the corner of the family room, there is a 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧 for those who need to “work from home” while staying at your new home away from home.

No Idyllwild retreat is complete without outdoor living; enjoy 1.5 acres of private forest and Strawberry Creek views along with two natural creek cascades. Giant pine trees sprinkle the property, and the seasonal Strawberry Creek babbles below. The expansive back deck has a dining table, and a sitting area with a fire pit to cozy up in and listen to the wildlife chatter. The ultimate indulgence after a fun-filled day sits in the far corner of the deck: a Sundance Hot Tub.
Off the deck, you can walk the grounds of the 1.5 acres that the Lodge sits on, or spend time on the brand-new yoga deck overlooking one of the private waterfalls. This feature makes IdyllLodge a one-of-a-kind Idyllwild retreat for those seeking peace and nature. A second outdoor dining table sits creekside for dining under the pines.

Out front of the property, there is ample parking in the opening next to the Lodge and room for two cars in the covered carport. Inside the carport is an EV charger that is free to use.
Does IdyllLodge have space for outdoor yoga?
Yes, IdyllLodge features a brand-new, private Yoga Deck overlooking Strawberry Creek. It provides a serene, flat surface tucked under the pines, perfect for morning meditation, a quiet sunset flow, or a full wellness session.
Do I need to bring my own yoga mats?
We provide complimentary yoga mats for your use at IdyllLodge, so you can easily enjoy a session on the creek-side deck. However, guests are more than welcome to bring their own mats if they prefer. Our deck offers plenty of space for multiple practitioners to enjoy a yoga and meditation session together.
What makes the outdoor space at IdyllLodge unique?
Unlike most rentals, our Idyllwild luxury lodging features 1.5 acres of private forest with two natural creek cascades. One of these mini-waterfalls is located directly below our yoga deck, offering the perfect natural soundscape for meditation and relaxation.
Does the property offer an EV charger or parking for multiple cars?
Yes, IdyllLodge is a fully equipped Idyllwild retreat featuring a two-car covered carport with a Level 2 EV charger for guest use. There is also ample additional parking on our 1.5-acre lot. Our central location means you can leave your car charging and walk just two minutes across the street to enjoy local favorites like Cafe Aroma.

Amazing in every way.
One of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in! The lodge completely exceeded our expectations and was absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway in nature. It was beautifully decorated, cozy and rustic, spotlessly clean, and incredibly organized. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, and we especially appreciated all the thoughtful details, like having things clearly labeled.
There were so many great amenities and fun activities, including games and cornhole, and the bed was super comfortable. The location was also fantastic. It was close enough to walk into town, which made our stay so convenient while still feeling tucked away in the trees.
The hosts were wonderful, extremely helpful and responsive, and clearly put so much thought into making the lodge comfortable and welcoming for their guests. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Cozy, peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly well-appointed. We would absolutely stay here again. Simply perfect!

Perfect stay with young kids! We had 5 kids under the age of 8 and they spent the entire time playing in the creek. I’ve already recommended to two families! We can’t wait to return.
Kelly’s place was one of our fav air bnbs we’ve ever stayed in. It was a delight having the creek accessible right from the backyard, we could hear it trickling by whenever we were hanging on the back deck. There is even a little path that walks along the creek that we explored and the kids loved. The interior of the place was very spacious and provided more than enough room for our family of five to spread out. The kitchen was amazing and we loved having plenty of spices and utensils at our disposal, that made us feel right at home. We would love to stay in Kelly’s Airbnb again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Idyllodge! The team here was very responsive before we came (for our prep), while we were there (although we had minimal issues!) and even after we left! And the place (and setting) are absolutely beautiful! There are so many nice amenities and it’s such a nice location - we didn’t want to leave the lodge! But of course we did because the location on the creek and proximity to town were perfect.
We look forward to staying here again - w are already looking at future dates!

Most beautiful cabin in Idyllwild! Cornhole, shuffleboard, and jacuzzi were awesome. We loved the creek hike behind the house too! Hosts are very responsive and the place was very well stocked with every appliance and spice you need! Perfect spring break with the family. Would definitely visit again!

We loved our weekend at this beautiful location! Stargazing on the spacious deck was not something we were anticipating, but it was magical! And we loved the fact that it was a very easy, short walk to a local restaurant with an intimate bar and delicious food! One quick tip. I was unable to navigate the trail along Strawberry Creek given I had a knee replacement 11 months ago. It is a pretty easy trail for most people, but there was a point where there were small boulders that had to be crossed and I couldn't do it. That is definitely a "me" problem, but I just thought the older travelers would like to know that. That said, I'd stay at this cabin again in a heartbeat! It was fabulous and the hosts were incredibly responsive!

All of our expectations about the property and surroundings were met for our ideal quick getaway to Idyllwild where we were fortunate to experience half a foot of snow. Sydney and the rest of the hosts were very prompt with our inquiries, and otherwise had an easy and resourceful set of instructions and local instructions including pointers for accessing the area and property considering potential winter road conditions. We had a great time playing board games by the fire for hours and using the hot tub while it was snowing. We would definitely go back to this location or try out some of the other properties the hosts have nearby.
We had the most wonderful stay at this Idyllwild retreat! The location right on the creek was absolute perfection — peaceful, beautiful, and such a special backdrop for our family time. Waking up to the sound of the water was magic. The house was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meals easy and enjoyable, and the linens were high-quality and incredibly comfortable. Our kids especially loved the variety of games available — it made downtime just as fun as exploring outside. Every detail felt intentional and welcoming. It was the perfect blend of cozy and functional. We truly felt at home and can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Beautiful property, excellently maintained, clean. Beautiful views of the strawberry Creek, wonderful attention to detail with all the amenities. And the location is really ideal for enjoying the downtown area and the local activities.
Our families go away every year over New Years, and this was by far the best house we’ve stayed at. For context, we had 4 adults and 4 kids under the age of 5, and the location and functionality of the house was PERFECT. There was so much space, both outside and inside for 8 people and the location of the house lends for a lot of exploration and proximity to town. Want a coffee shop or bite to eat close by? CHECK! Want an exploratory walk through nature that’s easy/safe for kids? CHECK! Want a house/ kitchen that has everything you need and don’t need to bring half your kitchen for a comfortable stay? CHECK! What we appreciated most about Kelly as a host is she was responsive and understanding. When a city power outage from the rain knocked out the WiFi, she ensured someone came to the house quickly to have it fixed. When we notified her of an issue we caused at the house, she was understanding and tactful in her response. Overall, best house we’ve stayed at so far!
Loved staying here! It is walkable to the downtown area, but also tucked away so it's quiet at night. House is spacious with a lot of nice amenities (shuffle board, dish washer, jacuzzi). I would recommend!
What an incredible place. A gem of a house that simultaneously offers nature as well as a quick and easy walk to the town center. Perfect for a family! Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the Christmas holiday.

This cabin was sooooo amazing! Felt right at home! Went for my 30th birthday and we all already want to come back. Highlights include: the working fireplace, comfiest beds, and creek in the backyard leads right into town!

Very private location with great parking space, carport that allows you to stay dry if it’s raining or snowing. My family and I loved the cabin felt very heartwarming, kids loved the creek trail that is literally a couple feet away from home right in backyard. We took the trail everyday to head out to town and get breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend the cabin very clean and spacious we’ll definitely be coming back!
Idyll Lodge was a perfect place for our 3 generational family to stay! Plenty of room to spread out, and everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The location was very close to the town but extremely private and quiet. All of us, from ages 13 to 81 loved it! Thank you to Kelly and her family for sharing this property with us.

My family visits Idy once or twice a year. This was the first time we’ve stayed here, and we had an outstanding time! Here are some of our highlights: the patio was lovely and shaded most of the day, and the view of the green trees and the sound of the. creek was heavenly. We also loved taking the footpath that passes by the house along Strawberry Creek each day. The house is spacious, offering plenty of places for togetherness! We played board games at one table, did puzzles near the fireplace, watched movies in the loft, and ate on the patio! The kitchen is big and wonderful to cook in! This place is a real Idy gem!
We had an amazing time at this cabin! The cabin is so spacious and beautiful. It’s a very peaceful area with a nice creek in the back. We walked to Cafe Aroma for dinner and it was really great Italian food. We can’t wait to come back during the holidays.
I truly had the best experience staying at this property. The pictures give you a clear representative of how beautiful this home is. Everything was clean, well taken care of, and labeled. The house is fully stocked with games, kitchen utensils and amenities. I felt right at home as soon as we got there. I think I may be taking a yearly stay here after having such an amazing experience. Can’t recommend this place enough! Such a stunning spot.
Not my first time in Idy but first time at this huge cabin on strawberry creek. loved the indoor jetted tub and the trail on strawberry creek. thanks for accommodating us last minute. we would love to return with more family in this spacious cabin.

We absolutely LOVED the home. It was very comfortable for 3 couples. The beds were extremely comfortable in each room. The house felt so cozy. We loved the back patio decks, hot tub and the peacefulness around. We really enjoyed finding the Creek Trail right behind the house as well - this was a beautiful easy walk that led us straight into town. It was an easy walk into town from the road as well - probably 10-15 mins. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cafe Aroma right up the driveway and across the road - highly recommend. The house was well labeled in the kitchen to find things and also the lights being labeled was very helpful as well. The kitchen had a huge refrigerator and separate freezer. It's hard to find homes where each bedroom has a bathroom, and this one did plus they were HUGE. We appreciated the courtesy pile of firewood as well. We would definitely book this house again 100%. We have been to Idyllwild a couple of times and this house is now our favorite!!

Great location that the home was situated at. It was very warm and inviting and it didn’t hurt that the place was beautiful.
Went up for a family retreat. Overall, extremely happy with this property! Meet our needs(3 king beds, all en-suites). Beautiful creek side location, generous deck w/ample seating, kitchen well appointed and stocked. Communication w/Kelly could not have been better….quick to respond with any issues we had(very few!). Thank you, Kelly, for making this such an enjoyable getaway for us!
Kelly and Erin were incredibly helpful and responsive leading up to and during our stay. The home was immaculately beautiful yet still warm and cozy. We have travelled to multiple countries and stayed in countless Airbnbs, but by far Kellys home was one of the most beautiful that we have been to. Kelly has truly thought of every aspect of a guest experience. This home felt as if you were secluded in the woods yet still an easy walk directly into downtown Idyllwild.

Absolutely beautiful! Looked even better than the pictures. We loved the home and the peaceful and private wooded area. We even walked the creek trail behind the home and spent the weekend enjoying all the shops and restaurants in the village that was within walking distance. Kelly was very helpful and quick to respond.
Great house in a great location on the edge of town. We enjoyed the cosy fireplace in the great room and the hot tub under the trees. House is very well equipped, including a stocked kitchen. Hosts were super-responsive. One extra: our favourite way to get to the center of Idyllwild was strolling along the creek side path

This was an absolutely beautiful home with such a peaceful atmosphere. We really enjoyed the grounds and warmth inside the home. We had one small issue that was immediately resolved with excellent communication from the host. We look forward to returning to this absolutely tranquil retreat as soon as possible!
